Caregiver Support Lecture
Apr 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm| Free
Join us for a lecture with Mary-Ann Brown, RN, MSN, Director of Palliative Care with Renown Health. Mary-Ann will cover what is means to be a caregiver and how you can be supported as you take on the role as caring for a friend or family member who is chronically ill, disabled or aging.
Supporting caregivers in our community is critical to keeping our aging population healthy. Caregivers are often overlooked for support resources, but as they provide personal care, assistance with daily living, meals, transportation and medical appointments, alleviating some of their stress is important.
If you are not currently a caregiver, this lecture could help you prepare should you ever become a caregiver, or need one yourself. Renown will also provide resources from the Caregiver Support Initiative
Light refreshments to be served.
