NOW ONLINE for Spring 2020: Our FREE Chronic Pain Self Management Program is an evidence-based program developed by Stanford University and delivered through the Sanford Center for Aging within UNR’s School of Medicine
During this six-week workshop you will learn:
•Skills to help you maintain a wellness focus and improve your quality of life
•Techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep
•Strategies for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance
•Appropriate use of medications
•Decision making and problem solving
Who should participate in Chronic Pain Self Management?
Adults experiencing pain from a variety of causes such as:
•Neck, shoulder, back pain, etc.
•Post-surgical pain that lasts beyond 6 months
•Inflammatory Bowel Disease
•Any general chronic pain
The next Chronic Pain workshop will be every Thursday, May 14 to June 25, 2020, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The online workshops will be conducted using Zoom video conferencing. Zoom is easy to set up on your cellphone or home computer. Once you have registered, you will receive a link to participate.
