Chronic Pain Self Management Workshop

The Chronic Pain Self Management Program is an evidence-based program developed by Stanford University School of Medicine.

During this six-week workshop you will learn:

•Skills to help you maintain a wellness focus and improve your quality of life
•Techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep
•Strategies for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance
•Appropriate use of medications
•Healthy eating
•Decision making and problem solving

Who should participate in Chronic Pain Self Management?

Adults experiencing pain from a variety of causes such as:
•Neck, shoulder, back pain, etc.
•Pelvic pain
•Post-surgical pain that lasts beyond 6 months
•Nerve pain
•Persistent headache
•Inflammatory Bowel Disease
•Multiple Sclerosis
•Any general chronic pain

Upcoming Workshops

The Chronic Pain workshop will be held on Wednesdays, Oct. 9 to Nov. 20, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Center for Molecular Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Nevada, Reno. 

The workshop runs for 2 ½ hours once a week for six consecutive weeks; and will be offered for FREE to participants.
