NOTE regarding 2021 workshops: To reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we will provide our workshops online via the Zoom teleconference tool. For information about any Sanford Center Wellness programs, call (775) 235-8862 or email wellness.sca@gmail.com

What is prediabetes?
Your blood sugar (glucose) level is higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Nearly 90 percent of adults who have prediabetes don’t know they have it. Those who have prediabetes combined with poor weight management and/or minimal physical activity could develop Type 2 diabetes within five years.

Take a short online test to find out if you’re at risk for prediabetes.

How will this program help you?

  • Learn the skills you need to lose weight
  • Be more physically active
  • Manage stress
  • Connect with a lifestyle coach to guide and encourage you
  • Gain support from other members who have similar goals

This CDC-approved, 12-month program is given in weekly sessions for five months, followed by bimonthly maintenance sessions.

Now scheduled for early 2021
