DESCRIPTION:Join us on the path toward physical\, emotional and community wellness – because every step counts.\nThis welcoming walking group\, facilitated by Dr. Madeline Hardacre\, oncology wellness doctor\, brings together cancer survivors\, thrivers\, caregivers\, and care team members in a supportive space to promote healing and wellness\, wearing hats as a symbol of strength and unity. Participants walk at their own pace while sharing hope\, encouragement\, and connection. \n  \nWhen: Mondays at 7am & Thursdays at 5pm. \nWhat to bring: A water bottle\, wear comfortable shoes\, and remember to apply sunscreen. A hat will be provided to registrants as available.

SUMMARY:Fracture & Splinting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Michael Elliott and Dr. Martin Morrison for a hands-on workshop. Learn the key principles\, pearls and pitfalls in splinting pediatric patients by healthcare professionals. Humans have been splinting their injuries since 1300 B.C.\, and although fundamentals have not changed\, splint selection and application require some thoughtful consideration\, especially with our pediatric patients. Several techniques for splinting will be addressed during the workshop. Objectives include: \n• Interactive hands-on splinting lab\n• Demonstrate and identify the preparation and tools needed for successful splinting\n• Identify the clinical guidelines for splinting\, including patient evaluation\, education and safety \nApproved for 4.00 CME/CE credits for nurses and physicians. \nIntended Participants: Pediatricians\, family practice physicians\, urgent care providers\, PAs\, APRNs\, MAs\, CNAs\, ortho techs\, etc.\nRegistration: Register online here by Friday\, Aug. 16\nCost: $25 per participant
