These insightful classes are facilitated by oncology nurse navigators\, social workers\, and surgical nurses. \nIn this class\, you will: \n• Meet your navigator and learn about cancer support services available to you\n• Hear about pre-surgery instructions and your pre-admit appointment\n• Receive education in rehabilitation and lymphedema\n• Have your questions answered about treatment\, including chemotherapy\, biotherapy\, immunotherapy\, radiation therapy and clinical trials \nNote: 18y+ only. Participants walk at their own pace while sharing hope\, encouragement\, and connection. \nWhen: Mondays at 7am & Thursdays at 5pm. \nWhat to bring: A water bottle\, wear comfortable shoes\, and remember to apply sunscreen. A hat will be provided to registrants as available.

DESCRIPTION:Ticket includes partner. \nJoin our Birth Support & Relaxation Strategies class and learn about your options and how to practice techniques to manage labor and birth more comfortably. \nThis class is ideal for expecting parents\, those needing a refresher in labor coping skills\, or couples wanting to expand their knowledge of comfort measures for labor and birth. \nDuring this two-hour session\, you will learn: \n\nRelaxation/meditation practice\nBreathing techniques\nPositions for effective laboring and birthing\nUse of birth ball\, rebozo and other tools\nMassage\, counter-pressure\, and acupressure\nHands-on comfort measures\nManaging back pain\nVisualization\, vocalizing\, and movement\n\nWhen registering\, please use expecting mother’s name and information.  \nPlease bring to class: \n\n75 cm exercise/yoga ball ALREADY INFLATED\nTwo bed pillows\nA mat or towel for breathing and relaxation practice\n\nThis class is also included as part of our 4-week Childbirth Series and the 1-day class.
