These insightful classes are facilitated by oncology nurse navigators\, social workers and surgical nurses. \nIn this class\, you will: \n• Meet your navigator and learn about cancer support services available to you\n• Hear about pre-surgery instructions and your pre-admit appointment\n• Receive education in rehabilitation and lymphedema\n• Have your questions answered about treatment\, including chemotherapy\, biotherapy\, immunotherapy\, radiation therapy and clinical trials \nVideo-enabled attendance is available. Attend this workshop in person at Renown Regional or virtually via Zoom to learn mind-body techniques to help you feel more connected and joyful in life as you move beyond cancer. \nThis workshop includes: \n\nEmphasizing the importance of identifying resistance.\nMoving through resistance by understanding the concepts of acceptance and surrender.\nIdentifying goals and visions.\nCreating action steps to help break patterns\, to help you stay in a healthier mindset and feel more calm.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is no charge to attend this class. You can attend this workshop in person at Renown Regional or virtually via Zoom. \nThis workshop teaches mind-body techniques to help reduce anxiety\, feel calmer\, visualize your treatment in a healing way and enhance healing through activities that will bring you relief. \nThis workshop includes: \n\nHelping patients feel more connected\, reducing fight/flight response and assisting patients to feel more at ease.\nLearning how stress impacts our bodies and our role in taking responsibility as a partner in recovery.\nA mindfulness relaxation session.\nAllowing patients to express concerns over their side effects and re-framing for a more positive experience.\nOpen time for questions and answers.\n\nThere is no charge to attend this class.
